Hi,

I think I may have inadvertently bricked my Rockchip microcontroller (RV1108) but I do not understand if I did something illogical. Here are the steps I followed -

  1. Install the driver for the MCU in my computer.
  2. Connect the device via USB (it was specifically mentioned that I need not install the drivers with the device connected).
  3. Go into Maskrom mode
  4. Download the Firmware img and the usb boot bin file into ROM using the provided tool. The img and the bin were provided by the manufacturer and I used their tutorials to guide me through the setup.
  5. Then I tried to go into loader mode and the device suddenly disconnects.
  6. Rebooting the device did not help
Right now even if I connect the device back via USB, even Windows does not detect it, as in, it doesn't show up in the device manager. Of course I tried to erase the flash and start the process over again, but right now the tool can not find the device anymore, so erasing the flash using the tool is out of the question. How do I proceed under these circumstances?

Cheers.
