Hello guys, I have been in a chat with a Chinese supplier and there is a communication gap. She is identifying transducers and Piezo Ceramics as different equipment, but correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the ceramic disc the transducer?

The difference is that the term "Transducer" generally indicates that it is a device
that is specifically engineered to usefully interface with a well defined environmental condition.

A raw, unspecified, "Ceramic-Disc", by it's self, may, or may not be, suitable for a particular application.

The term 'piezo ceramic' is more specific than the term 'transducer'. The latter merely indicates something for converting one form of energy to another, so could mean (to her) perhaps a piezo buzzer comprising a housing containing a piezo ceramic disc and circuitry.

The piezo ceramic is the chip inside an ultrasonic transducer. The properties of the complete system are defined by the housing of the piezo ceramic like horizontal and vertical opening of the transmitted beam. And if you paint the transducer to adjust the appearance to the housing of your equipment you experience another shift of the properties. At least the resonance frequency changes to lower values.
