Hello,

All parts are pretty standard.
The only special parts are the two tranducers for 40 kHz.

This is my first project so I really don't have much experience. Would digikey have what I need?

I found this which looks perfect - http://www.sunrom.com/p-74.html

Also, where can I find a PCB or breadboard (which is better) to build the project on?

Thanks again, sorry for the noob q's

I noticed that C1 is shown shorting the input.

SmartKit is from Greece but are available in many countries. I saw some being sold in a shop in my city on the other side of the world from Greece. Look for them in Google.

Guys, I have no idea what to get for these parts. When I search for these parts a million items come up. Any help? Thanks.

TR1, 2, 3 = BC547 , BC548

IC3 = 4093 C-MOS

P1 = 10 KOhm trimmer
P2 = 47 KOhm trimmer

Wow, thank you so much.

For future reference, how did you go about picking each component? It was a bit overwhelming having a million items pop up when I looked up those parts. Thanks again!

Also, about the power jack. If I have a 120v ac power converter to 10v DC from the wall, that jack I put up before would work to power the board right? Given I mount the unit near a wall jack.

Hello,

To find the components on the website of digikey I used diffrent methods.
The transistor I filled in in the search window.
The CD4093 also.(I know there are CD and HEF as preface).
The potmeters I looked in the list product index and looked for trimmers, then I have choosen BOURNS as a brand, single turn, through hole, 3386 sealed, then the value.
I have choosen Bourns because we use then a my work also (the 25 turn types).

Greetings,
Bertus
