Two Load Cells giving different readings all the time

However, I kept the weight in the dead center (5kg) and gave the two meters to display 2.5 kg and 2.5 kg. After i kept it at different places of the beam. The addition of the two meter values gave me a very close reading to 5 kg (5.02kg). But it does have a variation (confidence). Need to do more tests and see.

Do both meters read 0 kg with the weight removed?

5.02 kg is within 0.5%. It may not be realistic to do too much better than that.

How about that. :) With the 5 Kg weight centered the weight is equally distributed between the two load cells. Considering the load cells are 100 Kg cells I would say that is pretty good. As WBahn says what you have is quite good and I would be happy considering the margins of error.
