Hi My daughter has asked me to repair a LG26-09P TV with LGP26-09P PSU. I found on inspection that a 2.2 ohm metal oxide resistor was open circuit no reading (R501) (no1) on schematic diagram. So i replaced it with a metal film resistor hoping it would do the job but that went pop as well. On further inspection the IC500 has burn marks on terminals 3&4 (no2) & green mould on terminal 8 (no3). Have tested most parts like diodes & caps only in circuit. Did not want to replace anything without some help.

Hi everyone thank you for you quick response I have attached back of board for delta prime & i would say that dodgydave may be correct as i have a replacement IC500 but just wanted to be reassured that my findings were correct.

Hi I have now replaced the 2.2 resister with a metal oxide (R501) & also replaced (IC500). Connected up TV & it was working for 10mins. Switched it off. Went back & switched it back on & 2.2 resistor went pop again. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

You need to do some voltage measurements when it's working again. The fault could be on the output and causing excess current .

Bada boom Bada Bing. I have the same unit same problem or had.
T150!On my unit the enamel coating was ablated.I rewound the transformer Coil. Which is something I do not recommend you attempt to do. If the enamel coating is not discolored or melted ,Nicked or chipped. @Dodgydave recommendation is sound advice.
I'm all in & I call.
