I wonder if it is possible to buy a moderator title. Perhaps if you donate a good sum of money you can become a moderator. I guess many people have a dream of being a real divide and conquer type moderator

 

Doubt that would work at this site, however, you can buy VBulletin, and you can buy an internet connection capable of hosting a site, on a computer in your home. I know of at least one site that is run like this. I doubt it could handle the traffic this site gets.

Some things in this world you can't buy,you have to be chosen,sorry.

 

But being a moderator isn't one of them. All it takes is money and work.

You need to pay to be online.

And you need to do lots of research, and read just about every thread on the site.

 

Depends reteched, no one moderator can watch an entire site, individual moderators are typically devoted to specific sections of the forum, generally one's they're specialized or interested in.
