Troubleshooting and Repair - Beats Solo3 Only Working While Charging ?

Hello Everyone,

I have a technical issue with my Beats Solo3 headphones that i try to troubleshoot and solve:

Issue:
When I plug the headphones in to charge, the white LED lights indicate they are charging.
While the charging cable is connected, the headphones work perfectly.
As soon as I disconnect the charging cable, the headphones stop working and produce no sound.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Battery Check:
I initially thought it might be a battery issue.
I charged the headphones for an extended period and tried again, but the problem persisted.
I removed the battery and measured the voltage, which showed 4.2V.

Questions:
Does a 4.2V reading rule out the possibility of a faulty battery?
Can a battery still show 4.2V and be defective?
If the battery shows a good voltage, should it be functioning correctly?
Do you advise using a DC current clamp meter in my case? How can it help me advance in troubleshooting?

Any ideas on what might be causing this issue and how to fix it?

Thank you all.

Suspect the charging jack. Some jack's have a built in switch which disconnects the battery while charging. When the cable is removed the switch should reconnect the battery unless it's defective.
At 4.2 volts the battery is fully charged.
Then again it might be all electronic switching and without a schematic impossible to give any more repair advice.

So, what you suspect is that the battery may have been disconnected during charging, and now the switch that should reconnect the battery when the charging cable is removed is defective? Is that correct?

If this is the case, does it mean I only need to replace the charging port, or is it more complex than that and potentially involves another component? When you mention a built-in switch, do you think this switch that disconnects the battery is located in the charging port itself or somewhere else in the device?

Possibly both without looking inside. Again it might be all electronic switching.
Can you post a HD photo of the inside and PC board?

Try to power the headphones with external source, external power supply within same voltage , if work , then your battery fall under load
