Hey guys I work in OEM which manufacturers heavy duty machines.
I am electrical maintenance guy and from several days facing one issue . Bulb of my head lamp is getting fused or blown out. Bulb manufacturing company days it is due to transient spike . Can anyone suggest me possible solution to this issue

 

What kind of bulb?
What kind of power is used to light the bulb?

Did they suggest anything to mitigate the problem?

1. What type of bulb?
2. What wattage and voltage?
3. What does the headlamp look like?
4. How frequently does the bulb blow out? Every time? Every other time?
5. Is this a recent issue?

By fused, do you mean the lamp shorts the power source?

 

Without any more information, you could consider a TVS diode.

If that is the case, what would cause the alleged spike? Upside down electronics would be a stranger thing.

Are the head lamps the old filament type or the new LED type?
I think the LED bulbs have a problem with spikes on the power.

 

And another solution might be connecting a filter between the power source and the bulb. AN LC "L" filter could probably do it
