transformer winding

hi, i am looking for a type of wire to wind a transformer, but can't remember it's name. It has "bell" or "dell" in the name but i just can't remember what it is called. Any ideas anyone?

maybe if u give more information about the ratings of the transformer some of the members here can suggest you one.
you can also try to google it and see if u find something.

It is referred to as magnet wire. It is coated to prevent shorting. It comes is different wire gage sizes and as recca02 indicates you would need to know the application in order to determine the proper wire gage.

The type of wire you should use also depends on the frequency of the circuit that uses the transformer.

Litz wire is typically only used up to a few MHz.
