I need to compensate for the capacitance between the windings of an RF transformer. As I understand it and from my own experience, an inductance in the leads will help here. My question is; How much inductance for how much inter-winding capacitance. The transformer has to work between 30KHz and 30 MHz.

What turns ratio are you trying to achieve? If it is an integer ratio you can use a transmission line transformer, this cancels the capacitance between turns with the windings own inductance. A transmission line transformer should achieve the two decade performance you need. Here is the original 1959 paper on the subject.
