Current is an incidental variable, since voltage pushes the current. And it does indeed also depend on the external resistance. But since the external resistance, often the load, is not part of the transformer I did not include it in my response.

 

I have been seeing the transformer Equations written differently.. I just need to know which one on the right one.

Thanks for all the replies to clarify things for me.. I actually just used both formulas and came out good both ways... I only wanted to be sure either was good... thank you
