Toyota / Lexus Inverters

Maybe someone can help.

I cracked a Lexus motor inverter / drive open to see what is needed to get going. I expected a CAN-Bus input somewhere, but sadly it is not CAN. It looks like 4 differential pairs of some sort of synchronous interface. The most brilliant part is that for those 4 dfiferential pairs (that go out & in the inverter) the physical buffers are actually Denso-Electronics made clones of a TJA1050 compatible can transceiver.

Each 'can' transceiver has either TXD or RXD connected/wired to the microcontroller, not both. There are 3 data pairs going in, 1 going out.

1. Its very likely not can
2. Its not direct interface to the IGBT stacks, as there are also R2D resolver decoders and all associated hardware to have the FOC running on the microcontrollers.

What protocol interface could this be?

Kind regards,
Steven
