HI

I'm trying to understand the internal workings of the TI CD14538 dual monostable chip.
and have a question on the comparator section of the internal circuit.

I've attached an image of the area in question and it shows the two internal comparators, but they both have two additional
inputs. I believe one input is an "enable" from reading the datasheet text of the "OnSemi" version of the chip, but I don't know about the other one.
Also, it shows an inverter symbol that has two inputs(?)

Can anyone enlighten me on how these function?

thanks

From the lower left corner of the logic diagram in the datasheet you referenced:

Can't help with the comparator. One has 2 extra inputs, the other has 3...
So I interpret the inverter to be an inverter with an enable input.
Thanks....I missed that.

I know one of the cmp inputs is an enable, but not sure about the others.
