Hi,

Just wondering how could I make a Three Phase Power Generator/converter from single phase for Bench experiment purpose..

Cheers,

Besides buying, many car alternators with its diode pack removed will give you 3 phase AC.

You will need a motor to turn the alternator (You wont get free energy).

This is known as a rotary phase converter, as Jaguarjoe mentioned.

Be sure to to spend some time on the motor drive circuit to get a steady output at the desired frequency from the alternator.

If you need only a few mA, you may want to check out 3-phase micro-motor drivers.

Hard-drives often use 3-phase for their motors, so you could extract the driver circuit from a discarded cd-rom or hard-drive.

For more umph, buying a rotary-phase-converter may be the way to go.
