This short article puts Gate's claims into perspective:
Bill Gates vs Trees: A Clash of Perspectives

Note

As noted in the discussion with Mr. Gates above, detractors of natural climate solutions often begin their attempted takedown by saying that trees are not a miracle cure for climate change. However, this idea that planting trees will solve all of our problems is a construct of the detractors, a typical strawman argument. Of the hundreds of scientists, governmental agencies, dozens of studies, and many NGO’s who support the idea of reforestation and planting trees, none of them imply that it is a miracle cure.
and
Jonathan Foley, Ph.D., a renowned climate and environmental scientist and executive director of Project Drawdown, says, “It's just so silly; if you just buried dollars, it would make more sense. This has just given big oil decades of talking points to promote a fake solution so they don't have to stop polluting today; it's a huge green washing exercise, and we are falling for it.”

A UN agreement from 1967 says no nation can own the Moon. Instead, the fantastically named Outer Space Treaty says it belongs to everyone, and that any exploration has to be carried out for the benefit of all humankind and in the interests of all nations.
While it sounds very peaceful and collaborative - and it is - the driving force behind the Outer Space Treaty wasn’t cooperation, but the politics of the Cold War.

Never call all of your servers, 'server'.
https://www.theregister.com/2024/06/10/who_me/
What's in a name? Quite a bit, it turns out, when 50 servers all have the same one

The situation became so tiresome that someone had the bright idea to apply one name to all the servers. And the name that was chosen was “server”.

That may sound daft, but it’s worth stressing at this point that this was a stock trading firm, so time was very much of the essence. A day when a server was not operating because of an expired license cost money. While calling every server “server” seemed fraught with danger, there was a certain logic at work.
