I took a trip to Zion National Park. I used the dash cam to make a video of the drive through the park. I put Pink Floyd music to it and it turned out fantastic. But YT won't allow it because I used Pink Floyd. Yet I see many people playing rifts from PF. OK, it's not the whole song but they're still using material YT told me is copy-right'd. PIZZES me off. So I can delete the sound track and post the video but who's going to want to watch 2 hours, 45 minutes of driving through the canyons? Maybe 5 minutes. I may have to break it up into small bits and post it and use YT music (raLFf!)

Look, the producers of the material know what's happening (I'm thinking it's a net positive on the money side for them as some people might buy the whole $1 movie at Walmart later), have plenty of lawyers and YT is usually pretty strict about blatant or even trivial violations. I'm thinking these recaps are easily within the current, what's legal copyright rules.

The crux of the “doom loop” theory is that it’s self-perpetuating. If vacancies rise and property values fall, cities can’t collect as much in tax revenue and overexposed banks have to cut back on lending. That means less public spending on things like transit, sanitation and public safety, and less investment in small businesses. A dirtier, more dangerous and less accessible downtown is less likely to attract companies and remote workers, meaning vacancies will rise even more and property values will fall further. Wealthy residents could throw in the towel and move their families (and tax dollars) to low-tax states like Texas or Florida. And thus, the cycle repeats itself.

Forcing People into Treatment is Unethical and Ineffective.
Decades of data suggest mandating treatment with the threat of incarceration increases the risk of overdose and death. And it would make access to treatment even harder for those who are already waiting in line to take advantage of the lifesaving treatment services that Measure 110 makes possible.

This is not bringing back a drug war, this is a possible start to bringing back a dying city and state.

I knew it was fake long ago too (90's). It's still funny, just like a good movie we know is fake but tells a story.

 

I get to feeling just like that when I talk to automated answering systems. "Listen closely as our menu has changed." Yeah, right. They all change and they always change. "For TV press 01. For Radio press 02" and on and on. "To repeat this message press 99" after having listened to 98 options, and you just don't remember which one seemed like the best option.

The ones that really kill me is the ones that say "You can say 'Speak to Representative'." And you say "Speak to Representative" and it goes into some more diatribe "Please tell me what this is about." All I want to do is speak to someone with some not-so Artificial Intelligence. So I end up screaming "SPEAK TO REPRESENTATIVE - - - REPRESENTATIVE - - - REP - RE - ZEN - TA - TIVE!"

I think what's making AI seem intelligent is the dumbing down of the human race. Remember back when you knew several phone numbers without hesitation? Today I remember my wife's number. I hardly even know MY number. Your experience may vary.

They have EBT for food but use it to buy bottled water, dump the water, and redeem the empties for drug money.
