The druggies have converted the states 10 cent bottle deposit system into a drug money gravy train that destroys the stores and neighborhoods that have bottle return centers.
They have EBT for food but use it to buy bottled water, dump the water, and redeem the empties for drug money.
Anytime something is not sold or bought at its true market value, a black market is created ...

One the positive side, every trash can, trash dumpster, sidewalk and random dirt lot doesn't have bottles and cans litter on it, only drug paraphernalia, trash and human waste.

human waste is biodegradable ... the rest of that stuff is worse than just cans and bottles ...
I just don't want it to biodegrade on the bottom of my shoes and carpet. That's just nasty but the stuff is a disease vector for everything the drug addicts and zombies have or are exposed to from HIV to STD and various blood borne pathogens in the stool.

You forgot to mention your nostrils ... I guess your shoes and carpets are more important ... :p

I agree with him.

Further, it's immoral to tax anyone.

On this day in 1931, Al Capone was found guilty of tax evasion. The gangster who had reportedly boasted, “They can’t collect legal taxes from illegal money” was sentenced to 11 years in prison for failing to file tax returns.

Bro, pay your taxes. The IRS doesn't care about morality, they have guns, prisons and demand a cut from any for profit organization.

School books: Hundreds of dollars
School tuition: Thousands of dollars
Having a morning coffee conversation with your 18yo daughter about Lenz's Law and the implications of conversion of energy and momentum instead of sex, drugs, rock and roll.
Priceless.

Me and mine do the same, but SDR&R included.

Last night was Ideal Gas Law, the effects of meth, and economic effects of unwanted pregnancies out of wedlock. Oh, and we watched that video I posted yesterday.

You've been blessed, my friend. I too love to have STEM conversations with my boy, who turns 27 in a few weeks.

The wife and I split duties on the SDR&R conversations when she was younger. Now she can see the dream killer effects on a few of her (from High School) friends.

Things have gotten so bad you can't even sell cans or bottle in Portland without being threatened by drugged out zombies.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...chase-bottled-water-recycle-bottles-cash.html

  • Drug addicts have devised a scheme where they use food stamp benefits to buy cases of bottled water which they empty out to obtain a 10 cent bottle deposit
  • Footage shows groups of people in a parking lot in Portland with shopping carts full of bottled water, only to dump the contents on the ground
  • It allows them to receive a $2.40 refund within minutes by purchasing a 24-pack of bottled water with food stamps; Fentanyl pills now being sold for as little as $1
