Already celebrated New Year with my daughter in the Republic of Georgia via Skype a few hours ago. They were big on fireworks in Tbilisi raucously bringing in the New Year while confined by the chinese death flu. Seemed like everyone was firing off rockets from their rooftops.

What ever happened to giving credit to an author when you copy and adapt their material?

Anyone reading this article in USA today would get the idea that Norman Lear was the creator of the show, when it was in fact Johhny Speight in the UK in 1965, called "Till Death Us Do Part".
Same roles, in many cases the same script, same issues race, religion, politics. it was adapted and ran in many countries
The US show quite often showed identical versions with practically no script change, just adapted for US audience..
No credit given to J.Speight
