Treason has a VERY specific meaning so it's foolish to use charges of treason in a political theater.

Treasonous acts may be criminal, but criminal acts are almost never treason.

https://constitutioncenter.org/interactive-constitution/articles/article-iii

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.
And providing financial and economic aid to our enemies is NOT giving them aid and comfort, how?

It looks to me that this has occurred. Without collusion, of course.

How bad is Venezuela's economy? Even the criminals are struggling to get by.

Suddenly there's a whole class of people whose pockets are no longer worth picking.

"If they steal your wallet, there's nothing in it," says Yordin Ruiz, 58, a shoemaker.
...
Fewer bank robberies are occurring, because there's not much cash in banks. Who can afford to save?

There are fewer cars on the road to steal. With the price of imported parts soaring, many vehicles just sit in garages.

And even the criminals are migrating, the report said, joining a mass exodus of over 3 million people seeking better opportunities abroad.

"In Venezuela, it's just not profitable to be a thief anymore," said Roberto Briceño-Leon, a sociologist who coordinates the observatory.
...
But after years in which Caracas was a dystopian, "Mad Max" world of robberies, kidnappings and carjackings, even the criminals are struggling.

Venezuelans have grown begrudgingly accustomed to power cuts, but nothing like the one that hit during rush hour Thursday evening, sending thousands of people on long nighttime treks in the dark to their homes. It reached virtually every part of the oil-rich country of 31 million, which was once Latin America’ wealthiest but is now beset by shortages and hyperinflation projected by the International Monetary Fund to reach a staggering 10 million percent this year, compelling about one-tenth of its population to flee in recent years.

Ouch ... maybe most of the country was at fault when they elected that bunch of idiots... but it pains me to see innocent people trapped into something that they never even approved of in the first place...
Karma. It is what happens when reality takes over after you think you are getting something for free.

But it will work next timer. Honest!

I was not talking about Karma. To the idiots who voted for that system of government, they deserve everything happening to them right now. But I guarantee you there's a significant part of the population that never bought into that crap, and they're still paying the price.
