Looks like a Harbor Frieght. Do you have them in your area? But not in malls pretty much stand alone stores.

Now we need an electronics supply in the malls. ;)

Hello,

Here in Amsterdam we still have a small electronics shop called Radio Rotor:

Bertus

Go ahead. Rub it in. ;)

We used to have a number of electronic supply places here in Pittsburgh. One place was really cool called Olson's Not really electronic supply but electronic surplus. Parts of stereos, turntables, TVs, motors etc. Basically they sold pretty much everything some electronics manufacturer couldn't use when they ended production of a product. It was a great place for hackers to get bits and pieces.

One of the regular electronics supplies was right downtown called Tydings. Now you can't find a store downtown (aside the cell phone stores, cheap jewelry stores and nail salons) let alone an electronics supply. The last electronics supply closed a few years ago but they did not carry much and they were a good 30 minute drive from my home. :(

The Swiss Country side is really beautiful. It only takes once, but where the hell did he stop thinking to curl up and use his feet to hold on, dang the monkey in me said, dude use your feet, use your feet, did you fall that far from the hominid tree?

Lucy would be ashamed of you.

This is why you have a check-list.
Tim was a member of my SCUBA diving club. He would all tell us how much he liked his new sport, hang gliding. I warned him how dangerous those things were and how they can collapse. He assured me those were just old wive's tales and the sport is perfectly safe as long as you have the proper training which he did.

I saw Tim about a month later with a neck brace and a cast on his arm. I asked him what had happened. His only response "glider collapsed on me". ;)

Tex-Mex is definitely not Mexican food, I can vouch for that.

That being said, I'm not of the opinion that it's bad either. Some of it is quite good, actually. It's just that it's an entirely different cuisine on its own.
The same can be said for probably most "ethnic" food categories. What we popularly think of as "Chinese", "Italian", or "German" cuisine is drastically different than what the people that grew up in those areas recognize as "home cookin'". It's usually much closer to "American" (whatever the heck that is, admittedly) than the original. I've often wondered what "American" cuisine tastes like in other parts of the world, but both my very limited opportunities to try it for myself and in talking with a handful of much-more-well traveled folks than me, I have the impression that it is a long shot from standard American fare, which is not to say that it can't be quite tasty.

I often go to Utube/Google for fine tuning some of my recipes, I tend to prefer that the one demonstrating the dish has the same ethnic origin as the dish, Indian chef for a Masala etc .
For example, the chief Chef for Olive Garden is Italian and demonstrated an excellent Risotto recipe.
Needless to say it tastes way better than the one in the Restaurant!
Max..
