I often worked at the Navy base in Alameda in the 80's and would stay at Jack London Square. It was once a very nice area of Oakland.
The Nations Giant burgers at Jack London Square were great back then.

True but Hamas will take a while to rebuild as their major supporters are either gone (Syria) or weakened (Iran) and their leaders won't be using phones or electronics for a while.

That Gateway area was once so nice but the city of PORTLAND OREGON let the homeless, druggies and criminals own it. A major anchor store (Kohls in Gateway Portland) is closing because of unchecked criminality and I wouldn't be surprised to see the this close too.

Nice but far too little and too late.
