Thermostats similar to this one have an adjustment screw to set the operating temperature. The one in the link is described as a 'fridge and freezer' stat. Does that mean the adjustment range is wide enough for it to be set selectively to operate as a fridge stat or freezer stat? Or does it have twin switches; one for the fridge and one for the freezer?

They are for fridges or freezers, usually if you have a fridge freezer combo, the thermostat tubing is set into the freezer chamber, they are calibrated for -25 to -15C where as a fridge will be calibrated for 0 to 5C .

Thanks. The stat in the link has 3 tags in addition to the Earth tag. Why those 3 tags? Only 2 tags would be needed for s simple make/break switch.

One is for Neutral for the defrost heater . If you search for the model number of the stat, you will get a wiring diagram showing various fridge freezes it fits .
