A Michigan State Police Trooper is thanking Good Samaritans who stopped to help as he was being attacked following a chase on the freeway.
...
The trooper gets out and goes to arrest him when another car pulls up. A man gets out and runs toward the trooper to pull him off Barber.

That man was his brother, Travis Wise. He puts Guild in a chokehold and then Barber comes back to attack him.

That's when Guild's heroes show up. Jerry Burnham and his wife stopped to help first and a second driver pulled up as well. Together, they overpowered the brothers and assisted Guild with getting the men in custody.

Update on a shooting I mentioned in TCM's Thread about "environmentalists" who don't clean up their campsites as well as oil companies clean up after oil spills. Watch the video. Coward cop rolls up on minor fender bender with his gun drawn (because minor traffic accidents make him fear for his life). SUV is partway down in the ditch so the driver has to use both hands to push the drivers door open. Cop shoots because he didn't assume the "hands up" posture of a person who is under arrest while pushing on the door. Shooting deemed, "reasonable".

Remember that. It may be the difference between your life or death. Have both your hands separate, palms showing, and above your head while opening the drivers door at the scene of, "no crime occurred" or it will be, "reasonable" to shoot you.

EDIT: I can imagine knocking on that cop's door to ask him why he even showed up at the scene of a traffic collision with a gun...and if he doesn't answer the door with both hands showing, shoot him. I'm sure he would understand why it's reasonable to do that.
ouch.

Mortality statistics are useless without context (or if twisted out of context). If they were all criminals that were shot while raping babies nobody would care just about the killing if the cops killed a million baby rapist.
If that's the scenario that helps you pretend nothing is wrong...

But BS slanted 'pro-cop' stories do?
Give me an example. Sure, BS slanted 'pro-cop' stories don't help either if they distort the facts.

"This year's police killings" is not equal to "This year's police murders and/or unjustified homicides"

Killings is a general term that includes the vast majority of completely justified police killings.

Saturday I got pulled over for not having my new licence plates and current tags displayed on my pickup.

The guy was nice and friendly and told me what I did wrong which was that even though I had the new plates and tags with me on the dash having them with me is not the same as having them where they are suposed to be.

No one shot me or even dragged me into a ditch and bet me. All I got was a $20 ticket for breaking the law. Whats up with that?

Was it because I didn't go running off like a idiot or put up a unwarranted irrational fuss and fight over nothing of consequence?

I've met 2 or 3 cops who were reasonable, helpful, people. The other twelve? Ignorant, angry, looking for an excuse.:(
I had a nice reply to you regarding the cultural differences as to why we don't have that problem here but it was deleted it for 'profanity' sake.

Mod edit: abbreviated profanity doesn't cut it either.
