Before distribution, every item is examined and any damaged or expired items are discarded.
I think you just said people are willing and able to check food for expiration dates and damage without a government agent doing it for them or threatening them with fines and jail.

Personally, I have grown my own food, found my own food, and caught my own food, without a government agent anywhere near. My grandparents grew, found, caught, and canned all of their own food under the same conditions...no government agents. I once had a wife that would walk past the fish I had caught, go to the grocery store, and buy the same fish in a plastic wrapper. This demonstrates that some people don't know that the difference between catching your own fish and buying fish is a few hours waiting for somebody to wrap them in plastic. Those people believe there is an important difference in the store-wrapped fish. I don't. I have worked at the fish wrapping business and I have stood next to the fishing boat while catching the same fish out of the same water...and the only food that ever made me sick came from federally inspected beef served by an internationally known, regulated, and inspected corporation. My real world experience trumps any belief that the government will protect me.

Here's a new one:

The FBI Is Using Best Buy Techs To Perform Warrantless Searches For It

I have long said The Geek Squad is my best friend. I have never bought a computer because I keep getting free computers after The Geek Squad said they were un-repairable. Usually it is a bad HDD, but once it merely required unplugging the video card and allowing the computer to revert to mother board video. I suppose The Geek Squad is still MY best friend because I would never suspect them of actually repairing a computer. Now I see that The Geek Squad is nobodies friend because they aren't in the business of repairing computers. They are only using, "computer repair" as a front for the business of spying for the government.

I agree with you, I wouldn't let them repair a dead battery.

I have accomplished a lot of desensitization after seeing thousands of stories about police beatings, killings, rape, drug dealing, etc. but this one lowers the bar to zero.

Wisconsin Sheriff David Clarke Fears for his Life because Man Looked at Him on an Airplane
https://photographyisnotacrime.com/...for-looking-at-him-the-wrong-way-on-airplane/

This is one of the most badazz sheriffs in the country and he fears for his life 'cuz somebody looked at him funny?
On an airplane? Where everyone has been searched for even so much as a fingernail clipper?

With standards like that it shouldn't be surprising that run of the mill beat cops are so terrified of people that they kill them while they are asleep. (That happened three times, that I know of, in 2016. Two were sleeping in their car and the third was a wrong address SWAT assault.) A word to the wise. Do not interact with LEOs in any way. Don't even look at them. (The one case I know of where a woman was arrested for not looking at a police officer as she drove by an accident scene, she won in court.)

His department should send him a bill for all the cops that wasted their time at the airport. Even if he had a reason to be in fear, which seems impossible, an appropriate response would be to have one buddy meet you at the gate so that nothing gets out of hand between the plane and their rides. Incident over. Messing with a guy just because you can? He should lose his job, or at least get ready to offer a public apology.

Even if he had a reason to be in fear,
I was almost asleep when I realized the Big Bad Sheriff wasn't in fear of dying. He was parroting the automatic Get-out-of-jail-free line because he wanted to kill somebody.

Did the Texas team lose that (insert sport here) game to the Wisconsin team?

The very same ACLU that backed up BLM members when they pushed for a national law to put body cameras on cops everywhere, now says that the police in DC should not have the cameras on and should not be recording the people who come to the inauguration.
Because. ...
Protesters engaging in their first amendment right should be able to do so without police filming them and finding out who they are due to fears the Trump administration will get all Statsi on them and hunt them down or execute them in the future.

WTF?

Many Republican groups reacted poorly to news of things Obama and the Democrats did.
Now the Democrats are going to react in an even more mentally unbalanced way over things a Trump administration MIGHT do?

How sad.

Removing body cameras won't fix that. There are plenty of excellent cameras that can be used for facial recognition in a crowd of thousands, and our government has them.

The police killed two more unarmed people today, with video of both of them trying to back away Backing away was called, "lunging" in both cases, creating an imaginary excuse to "go cowboy on his ass".

But that's so grisly! Better to pay attention to this Second Amendment action where a man is arrested for "Open Carrying" a cat.

Even I want to shoot that cop after watching this! What an ass.

It wasn't clear in just one pass - was he actually carrying the cat or looking for it? He would have had to release it when they cuffed him. Is that what happened?

When cats are outlawed, only outlaws will have cats.
Maybe that's why so many cats seem to dwell under my car.
I think they're trying to tell me I'm an outlaw.:D

It seems to me that the sound of cat hissing on the video 0:20 means he had possession of the cat.
1:39 "Put your hands behind your back!"
1:40 "Meow!" (You'll never take me alive!)
