One of Obama's first official actions was eliminating vouchers for poor black students in DC, despite loud pleading from the families that knew it was a way out for them. He stabbed them in the back. I think a lot of people were surprised.
How did the families "know" it is a way out for them? Where is all this evidence that private schools turn out successful students? Just because some kid named Jonathan went to a private school and got a good job at his dad's firm makes private schools "the way out?" Funny.

Here in San Francisco, people with the $$$ are pulling their students out of the public schools and sending them to private. The only exception is Lowell High School which is a middle to upper middle class institution. Private schools also have a Scholastic Aptitude Test as a prerequisite for getting in so "Students" that don't want to learn get screened out before they can get in and make trouble.

Says you. "DID ignore the law" It is all your opinion. No facts, just opinion.
Glad to see you're siding with the judge. Requiring seat belts is a stupid law and should not be enforced.
Oh, wait, you said the judge did NOT ignore the seat belt law.
Now I'm confused.

You should try hearing more from that group.
I have listened. They have no goal except to shout, "BLACK LIVES MATTER". OK, I get it, how about, "all lives matter"? NO, "BLACK LIVES MATTER"!!! Yea, OK. Police departments are responding, cops are going to jail for doing bad things to black people. FACTS DON"T MATTER, BLACK LIVES MATTER............OK, I see what you are really about. Now, please go away, you have caused enough damage.

I said the judge DID ignore the law pertaining to criminal negligence be ignoring the law requiring use of seat belts for passengers in a moving vehicle. The lack of seat/shoulder belts is the proximate cause of Grey getting thrown on the floor and the possibility fatal injuries.

Are you kidding? There's no lack of evidence that vouchers were successful in D.C. Parents want them, unions don't. It's pretty simple.

There is a new form of segregation, segregation by education.

Education should have been the best mechanism for upward mobility. Yet, by destroying education to the poor, the establishment has managed to perpetuate a class of never ending poor people.

Sickening to think how many kids in those struggling schools could have been engineers, scientists, business people, or other contributing members of our society.

Is anyone here honestly trying to argue that a government-run bureaucracy can out- compete a free market solution? No way.

Whenever someone says that I think of Social Security. Remember when there was a move to privatize it?
Try and supply all the education privately and you will get a different result. While there is bureaucracy in government there is greed in private business.
Think about it. To educate all the poor people would require something like a tax or they couldn't even go to school. So just insert a profit in the middle of that.
Private enterprise is wonderful when it is applied to discretionary items, but not so much to basic human needs.

No man, all sides do need an opposing party so they can say. No! Wait! What!?! And then get their arguments across;)
Sure I understand that, but a few weeks ago he said he was putting me on his ignore list. So I thought maybe something had happened.:D
