So I was wrong about him being a professor. He has been on a lot of shows on the history channel.

The producers must like his hairstyle. Anyway, the rest of my post stands ...

Did Vegas have a line on those murders?

What is the over/under number for the murders in Chicago for the month of May 2017?

Reporting it like a sports line doesn't make it a sport. It's a said state of affairs when the historically democratic controlled city of Chicago does not have any laws to enforce.

Wouldn't you say that the laws are having inadequate enforcement instead?
It's hard to say what the truth is. The cops, who I'm inclined to believe, complain that there's a revolving door for criminals. Catch and release. They (the cops) keep catching the same guys over and over but they keep ending up back on the street, even after convictions for fairly serious offenses. I don't know what the judicial system has to say about this. Probably something about no money for incarceration. Gotta pay those union pensions, no matter what.

Looks like the protesters have lost another group of possible voters.

Police said that the group, wearing masks, started firing fireworks and smoke devices at their officers. After the officers gave dispersal orders, and the group threw more rocks, the officers opened fire with smoke canisters and apparent rubber bullets. The group ran off and started moving north along Jefferson Street.
...
Some homeless people who live in the area started throwing bricks and rocks at the protesters.

They don't have a clue about how they would suffer if they got the socialist government they demand.
Hell, they don't teach cursive writing anymore. These poor idiots couldn't even read the founding documents if they had them in hand.

What did they charge them with?
The 25 arrested include two 17-year-olds and a 14-year-old who each face riot charges, police said. They were released to parents, police said, and the other 22 people arrested were jailed.

Each of the adults arrested face second-degree disorderly conduct charges and traffic citations for failing to obey a police officer, according to police. Police said two adults face interfering with a peace officer charges, one faces an assaulting a police officer charge and another faces a resisting arrest charge.

The police are looking for possible arson charges with some protesters.

Some protesters were caught on camera breaking the windows of a Target store in Portland before lighting a flare.
