 ... he didn't get it, Agustín .... but I don't blame him ... foreign humor is an acquired taste. For instance, it took me a while to appreciate Monthy Python (though I always found Benny Hill hilarious) ... on the other hand, most anglo-speakers I know find Mafalda hard to understand, and I've always thought that Mr Quino is one of the best cartoonists of all time.
Well, yes. I conclude it was written by a foreigner.

BTW, Les Luthiers, who you maybe know, when performing in Spain, had to rework their texts for their jokes to be of any effect. Even how they named their king.

Monty Python is "foreign humor" for us Yanks, too.
But I never had a problem finding it funny.
Ironically their writer was Terry Gilliam, born and grew up in the U.S.
The Life of Brian and The holy grail are classics IMO.

Terry Gilliam was born in Minnesota near Medicine Lake. When he was 12 his family moved to Los Angeles where he became a fan of Mad magazine. In his early 20's he was often stopped by the police who often suspected him of being a drug addict and Gilliam had to explain that he worked in advertising. Gilliam said these experiences made him understand how it was like to be Black or Mexican and gave him sympathy for the poor. In the political turmoil in the 60's, Gilliam feared he might develop into a terrorist and decided to leave the USA. After moving to England he landed a job on the children's television show 'Do Not Adjust Your Set' as an animator. There he would meet his future collaborators in Monty Python: Terry Jones, Eric Idle ,Michael Palin and John Cleese. In 2006 he renounced his American citizenship.

I got a particularly big kick out of the BBC debate between the M.Python crew and the Archbishop of Canterbury and his crony, Malcom Muggeridge on the supposedly blasphemous portrail of the Life Of Brian.
Its on Utube of course.;)

Can someone recommend some good 666 timer circuits for a beginner? What are some different configurations of the 666 timer, and what do they acheive? And where do you get 666 timers?
