Analog engineering legend Bob Pease killed in car crash
A true legend is gone, a tragic loss to engineering. I even have one of his books!

Yeah, the simplest explanation tends to be the right one.Stuff happens, he was pretty distraught from what the articles said.
Try google or wikipedia on his name.I am new to this forum and I haven't hit the electronics books for over 20 years so could someone please elaborate more fully on Bob's contribution to "Analog". I don't mean to sound insulting due to my ignorance but I am always interested in the forefathers that laid the irrefutable ground work of any scientific field.
Any book titles of his would be helpful to better understand the man.

Columbo couldn't help anyway. He passed away on Thursday June 23rd.If so, maybe the resulting quick death was a blessing. The exact cause might not be clear, but it doesn't take Columbo to figure that this wasn't a suspicious scenario.
I know. I couldn't help but make the reference to another great person we recently lost, since that was on my mind recently too.Columbo couldn't help anyway. He passed away on Thursday June 23rd.
