Hello!
I'm building my first coil.
I'm trying to charge my coil from a 12v DC battery..
I can't get the charge to cross the spark gap..
Some help would be greatly appreciated..

 

I'm no expert on these things but I think you need to do a lot more research on how a Tesla coil works... basic electrical principles would be a good starting point.

 

From the look of it, you need to start over.
You need to read and learn how these things work before attempting to build one.

Otherwise, it's just a cool-looking useless object.

 

Where is your circuit, and i don't see an high voltage oscillator???
