Regrettably, it takes a horrifying terror attack like this to bring home to Europe the reality of Islamic terror. It's easy to condemn Israel's reaction to terrorism from rockets being fired at population centres or random stabbings of civilians as 'way out of proportion'; when in fact the answer is to hit back hard to try and deter it. Unfortunately, as with the Kamikazi pilots in World War 2, common sense and reason cannot be used. The only answer is force - to completely destroy the terrorists, the ones who send them and the ones who bankroll them.

While I have sympathy for Israel, have you ever noticed, every time we try to build a nation it turns out badly?

WASHINGTON — An 18-year-old Israeli-American has been arrested in connection with a wave of threats aimed at Jewish community centers, the FBI confirmed Thursday.

Israeli police arrested the suspect, who was not immediately identified, as part of joint investigation with the FBI, federal authorities said. Investigators believe the suspect is responsible for the bulk of the threats against Jewish institutions in the past several months.

"Today’s arrest in Israel is the culmination of a large-scale investigation spanning multiple continents for hate crimes against Jewish communities across our country,'' Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Thursday. "The Department of Justice is committed to protecting the civil rights of all Americans, and we will not tolerate the targeting of any community in this country on the basis of their religious beliefs.''

I'm of the mind that when or if you can rebuild their economy and a form Democratic institutions with laws for humanity and against those willing to destroy it is or could be successful. WWII and Japan was just that and now look at their influence for good in the world. But over their is so tricky, it's like Hatfield and McCoy's couldn't or wouldn't give in or up on it.

Their Targeting poor people and turning them into killing machines with a few hundred dollars and a promise of a heavenly afterlife.

The difference between Japan and Middle East is DNA and Thousands of years of Mind control and submission.

Yeah, and the "terrorist" could have had assault rifles and done more harm.

"The reason he picked New York is because it is the media capital of the world and he wanted to make a statement," Mr Aubrey said.

Jackson wandered the streets in a long black coat, carrying a 26-inch sword. He then encountered Mr Caughman, who was collecting bottles from rubbish bins, according to police.
How many fell to the sword in times past? or just to hand to hand combat. Anything can be turned into a weapon, in Boston it was a pressure cooker?

Money is only a resource in this battle.......not a motive. It's religious. And that means that if they get on this soil.......it will be hard to Constitutionally combat..........with our present judges.

Look at England and Europe.

Really hard to do now.:(
"You are going to be the proud owner of 25 million people," he told the president. "You will own all their hopes, aspirations, and problems. You'll own it all." Privately, Powell and Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage called this the Pottery Barn rule: You break it, you own it.[4]

The good news is Mosul is almost "liberated."

And the people are happy.

Nothing changes in war, it sucks , Period. It's better to use overwhelming excessive force on the enemy so you can cleanup the mess and get people back to their blown-up homes quicker.

Arnett used it in the opening of the story he wrote:

“It became necessary to destroy the town to save it,” a U.S. major said Wednesday.
He was talking about the grim decision that allied commanders made when Viet Cong attackers overran most of this Mekong Delta city 45 miles southwest of Saigon. They decided that regardless of civilian casualties they must bomb and shell the once placid river city of 35,000 to rout the Viet Cong forces.
...
The story went on to say:

U.S. officials reported it was impossible to determine the attitude of the city’s residents to the bombing and artillery fire. “Most of those we see around appear mighty relieved that they survived,” one official said, “But I know that there are lots of refugees, maybe 10,000 to 15,000, outside of town in a camp and they may not be so happy.”

Your right, I apologize. Was an inappropriate thing to say :(
Not inappropriate. Ignorant. :(

Guns are just one part of all the things around us that are weapons or can be made to work as weapons/devices of mass death that no one on the anti gun people ever wants to think about let alone acknowledge or accept as a painfully obvious reality of our existence. People don't need guns to kill other people. They're just cheap and convenient for doing so.

The reality is even if firearms are responsible for 70 out of every 100 deaths and you take them away you won't have 70 less deaths as so many want to believe. You'll just have something else (knives, sharp objects, blunt objects, poison, vehicles, pointy sticks, rocks, bare hands ...) that takes their place in the list of what was used to kill those 100 people.

People will kill other people for whatever reasons they find justifies it and they will find a way to get it accomplished regardless of what anyone else tries to do about it. It's our base nature and the only way to change base nature is to change our behavior through education and unbiased fair social incentives that make doing such things so bad no one at any social level would ever want to attempt it to begin with.;)

Sure, but we broke it real good.
There are few prospects of durable solutions for the approximately 15 per cent of the population who are displaced inside and outside Iraq. It is thought that there are almost 2.8 million internally displaced people (IDPs), close to half of whom were displaced prior to 2003.
In 2016, the United Nations (UN) identified 13.5 million Syrians requiring humanitarian assistance, of which more than 6 million are internally displaced within Syria, and over 4.8 million are refugees outside of Syria. In January 2017, UNHCR counted 4,863,684 registered refugees.
Ever wonder what would happen if we did a flip and decided to support ISIS?
