Hi all -
I am a mechanical engineering student and do not have an extensive knowledge about electronics. I have a project that I have to do and need some help with it if possible.
I am planning on using an Arduino to use PWM on a peltier device (127-06). I know that filtering PWM is necessary for peltier modules and thus I was planning on using a low pass LC filter to do this. I am a bit unsure of what values of inductor and capacitor I must use.
I will be PWM'ing at a frequency of around 3kHz (this is recommended for a peltier module). I did a simple calculation to determine that i need 1 microH inductor and 150microF capacitor. Do these values seem correct? Will they work?
Please help!
Thanks in advance!
