Thanks for reading. The Teensy Audio Board RevD has an audio "out gnd". I am connecting a 10k Log Volume pot to the "L Out", then into a 1/4" audio output jack. Should the 1/4" output jack's gnd lug be connected to the "out gnd" also?

How would it work without a ground return?

Are you connecting the log pot quiet end to out gnd too?

 

Thank you. The Teensy Audio Board has a dedicated audio gnd pin. Here is my schematic. (The pin headers marked U7 & U8 are for the 10k audio pot and the 1/4" output jack.

Audio grounding issues on the Teensy Audio Board RevD can easily introduce noise or unstable output if not wired correctly. Hello, Yes. I connected the OUT GND to the GND of the potentiometer and to the 1/4" audio output jack. I didn't connect it to the other GND's of the Teensy. As seen in the schematic. It is only used for audio out GND.
