I am going to draw a picture, how did you come up with that? Did you use Rt= R1+R2+R3? For the one in series and Rt=1/1/R1 + 1/1R2+ 1/1/R3 for in parallel?Give us a Drawing of what you're doing.
One in parallel would be 400w, one in series would be 200w,
