Hi. I want to add a means for my microprocessor to monitor the current being sunk by the circuit of which it is a part. The circuit is a motor controller so 1-20A would be normal. The current monitoring will form part of the fail-safe logic but will also serve to allow the circuit to self-optimise eg. adjust lag/lead depending on acceleration per amps sunk. A cursory search suggests ACS712? Is this a standard off-the-shelf solution? Any other suggestions?
