Hello all,

On the pictures, one is the problem and another is a solution in a solution manual. I'm curious why Vsb = Vin = 0.2, since Vin is across the source and ground, but Vsb is across the source and bulk (substrate).

What is your ground reference? It's the substrate!

In the picture on page 3, if the source and the bulk are tied together, either connecting source or bulk to ground will make these pins ground reference.
However, as my understanding, does sometimes Vbs not equal to zero? (I mean the source and the bulk sometimes are not completely tied to each other)
