Which strain gauge is prfeered 120 ohm or 1Kohm? Or it all depends upon the measuring circuit.

Why 120 ohm is more common?
Any criteria to select which value reistance strain gauge is preferred

On first link, it says prefer 120ohm if fatigue loading is an issue.

Fatigue loading is an issue (Lower resistance wire is larger in diameter, and more fatigue resistant).

I understand the term fatigue loading. But how does it impact the selection of 120 ohm value strain?

 

Seems like another of life's ambiguous decisions, like choosing a religion.
When faced with situations like this consider the obvious first, like maybe the 1K bridge would consume less less power?

The link I posted states why high or low resistance is chosen.
Almost all the strain gauges I have use are 350 Ohm
