I am trying to use a strain gauge to measure the compression forces of ice. I will use a metal can, position the strain gauge to metal cans wall, fill with water to the top, and cap metal can.
I assume I need a strain gauge to be water proof...I am aware that bridge circuit must be used. However, how would I interpret the resistance change to force (pounds)? Do they sell an already calibrated unit/kit that provides the conversions for you?
Thanks
