Looks like Delta Sigma Modulation, so it is a control circuit. I just need a steady voltage to the circuit should it draw only what it needs.

If I’m not correct, then correct me please.

UPDATE: on this project, didn’t make it a year, worst of the worst happened today.

Let me explain, I have a Solar Charger to recharge a Battery 12vdc jell cell rechargable, I drained the battery to 3.7vdc then wanted to see how fast it would recharge on my solar cell unit 12-24vdc, however I noticed it was charging at a rate of 24vdc while connect to my little circuit board, I was worried because it stopped working during the recharge of the battery, I checked the input of the little board with my voltmeter when suddenly it not only started to smoke but burst into flames.

I don’t care at this point what did or didn’t happen, but I thought I would put this warning out, had I not been there I could have burnt my house down or worse not made it out alive.

Trust me all I did was put the meter on the input side of the little board, not sure how measuring the voltage could have been so catastrophic, either way time to look for another way.

The little door sensor I’m testing it with only runs on 3vdc about 200 to 300ma. I need to get a 12vdc voltage to all parts of the house, maybe I can drop it to 5vdc with a conventional transformer in my mind now might be the way to isolate it and drop it safely, not sure it’s the only way though just an after thought at the moment.
