SRD motor system scam?

I found this place by accident while looking for other motor related stuff:

Anyway, I don't fully comprehend what the designer is trying to accomplish by using a couple of capacitors to drive an electric motor, he says that important efficiency improvements are accomplished with that system.

But I smell a fish... why not simply use PWM and sync the transistor's output to accomplish the same thing instead? Unless there's something I don't understand about his claimed "resonant" circuit. But this guy claims that he's got a patent for that thing. I checked it out, and it seems authentic.

Anyway, things got even more suspicious when I followed this other link, in which this guy claims that:

"An inertial propulsion system creates a linearly directed force, or thrust, by manipulating the forces and torques of point masses in an inertial system enclosed within the vehicle or platform. Thus, an inertial propulsion system does not expel exhaust gases or require external air flow to produce thrust or lift."

This is worse than the EM drive! ... that last link is definitely a scam, or is simply the product of this guy's delusional mind, I'm sure.

That inertial system is fun and ridiculous. I'm inclined to think the guy is delusional, not a scammer. People believe stuff like this all the time. It's easy to convince yourself that jerking something away from you quickly is fundamentally different than slowly bringing it back towards you, even though the net forces all still cancel out, although...

Maybe you use friction as your helper. Make the jerking motion powerful enough to slide against a source of resistance, but the slow return motion gentle enough that you stay put. You could get propulsion out of that, but it would be ugly. Wouldn't work well on smooth, efficient wheels, but you might be able to slowly move a sled around a flat surface in small incremental hops with such a system.

Ooooh, that first article includes the phrase "self-sustaining generator." That's a red flag if ever I've seen one!

The website is 'My-ers' (as in stanley myers) which pretty much is the name that's synonymous with free energy type scams.

That and if anything is implied to use "resonance' as a method of free energy production (as if 'resonance' is some form of infinite energy in itself) it's a scam as well.
