I have this Treadmill, Horizon Ti10K, and acting strangely where it speed up after turning on then suddenly shutdown.

Not sure if the speed controller or something else. I would like to buy a 3rd party speed controller but not sure which one would match my treadmill specs. Is this speed controller from amazon ok for my treadmill?

That controller is a simple Triac controller.
What is the part No, on the main board?

 

You need one specifically for a 1500W 90v motor. Depending on the board you may find a drop-in replacement, however the fault may be elsewhere. What is your 110/220 transformer rated at?

Ah, your transformer steps down, I misread your initial post, I thought you were going from 110 to 220. Either way the fault could have been an under-rated transformer, but 5kVA more than good. I guess this is a US-spec machine being run in UK/Europe? Whereabouts are you?

Sorry, i have to correct… it should be mains 220v to the controller then dc connection from controller to the treadmill.

 

Your controller is too small for your motor... 90v motor @ 1500W input = 16A approx. The specs on that controller are confusing, one place it says 4kW elsewhere 2kW, but then it says 10A max, which at 200v DC is 2kW. But your motor is a 90v motor so 200v will over-rev it and at 90v its trying to draw more current than the controller can safely supply. As I said earlier in the thread, you need a controller specifically matched to a 1500W 90v motor, not a generic 200v controller...

Sounds like the belt sensor could be malfunctioning, if the motor starts to run away, it could be due to the feedback missing and once it reaches a certain level, shuts down as a safety feature.
