Soldering station recommendations

Sometimes the capabilities of conventional soldering iron are not enough and you have to use a soldering station.
To choose the right soldering station, you need to know the design and technical parameters, as well as why you will use it:
1. The heating element and its type. Today, the bulk of the devices, among which you can choose, have 2 types - ceramic and nichrome. Ceramic ones quickly heat up, but they can burst due to uneven heating; if there is a heat stabilizer, all this will not happen, it will control the temperature and the device will last longer. Nichrome quickly fails and is not suitable for frequent use. It costs significantly less than ceramics.
2. The temperature adjustment range should be whiter than wide.
3. The heating rate.
4. Power. To choose a soldering station by capacity, you must initially know the area of operation of the device: telephones, laptops, tablets or household appliances, etc.
5. Voltage; weight, size, shape, etc.

It is also worth looking at the top soldering stations so as not to make a mistake in choosing.

This is the specific incarnation: https://www.banggood.com/KSGER-V2_1...p-1338117.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=USA

You will need to buy tips, and you can get genuine Hakko T12 tips which are much better. I would recommend the D series that are screwdriver-tipped, and maybe a C1 for tiny work.
I just checked the link I provided a while ago and it still goes to the KSGER station but one with the wrong handle. If you are interested in this station, find one (even on Banggood) with the slimmer, quick change handle. They are there.

Lately I have been using a metcal CV5200 and a quick861. Pretty happy with the set up.
The metcal is incredible for delivering heat at the tips. The MX5200 is probably is a better buy since the fancy connection validation thing on the CV is a bit gimmicky. I guess I could see some usefulness in it for some people but for me I usually just leave it off. Kind of hard to go back to other stations after using this station.

It’s time to replace my 45 year old Weller soldering station. Any suggestions? I do both through hole and surface mount. I’m looking for a quality tool, not a cheap one.
Not a positive recommendation but could help: do not buy HONY (guess from where it is?) The iron itself was a piece of junk.
