Sorry if this is a repeat thread, I'm just learning the usage. I would like to make a switch that turns a separate circuit on when solar light reduces. Cheap $3 lights have this without a photo transistor. Is there a way for a small 1.5 v solar panel to turn a logic switch(someone told me that's what it might be called) off and on depending on light.
I'm looking for a way that does not use a relay as this requires to much power. My guess is that my idea is not possible because the circuit I want to control is of a different voltage. Any thoughts on this? Not just e-challenged but Forum challenged also.
