I did want to be sure everybody knows I'm not the foremost expert on solar heating, but the Solar book for the Florida State test is 8&1/2 by 11 inches and 1&3/4 inches thick, and I have other books I read before I had any intention of going for a state license.

ps, You presented a much better argument than, "all I have seen so far".

Yes, a fan increases the efficiency because the temperature change inside the collector is less.
Part of what is missing is, "How big is this building?" Well, the size of a garage, right? And where is it? Ireland? Bulgaria? Nevada? How much temperature difference do you need? How fast? Lacking all that information does not prove you need a fan, it proves we need more information. :p
