I was searching for some SMPS on the web and I saw this schematic.
Who can say What TR2 is in this schematic? is it a common noise filter or what?what exactly does it do?

I know it's a dual wound choke.this type of choke usually filter common mode signals just like input filter at above schematic.but I don't understand why we need it at the output!? What dose it do for us ? What happened if we don't use it ?

 

It filters out the pwm high frequency signal and aids in the high current draw, they use two usually.
