Sorry I'm so slow on this Thread, but my Dad died last January and I've been working on 2 houses. Update! I got the sprinklers in the Ground valves installed and ran to power. this is at my house now I can move inside to complete paint and finish work. I was working from Feb to to Aug on my Dads I thought I would sell it but, I found I can't get the money I want for it so, I'm finishing the work I started 10 years ago when I first moved in to this one. Since then I either didn't have the time or didn't have the money now I have both.Still trying to use the auger timer to run the smoke detector LED.
It take a 555 timer each.
You need to build KV12-4 then add a 12V regulator, then attach that to the slow timer KV.

I just followed his directions, BTW thank you for the suggestion but I wanted a $1500 dollar smoker and just wanted to see if I could build a version of our own design here. I plan on following a design that uses an air flow that will start in the box and wind it's way around and up to the meat hopefully it will allow for Lower Temps if need be.I haven't read all 12 pages in this thread, but the Bradley Smoker does what you're looking to do. You can find them on eBay.
I used to own a Bradley and used it for years. The only issue I had was with the smoke temp - using it in Chicago summers, I couldn't get a cold smoke, so when smoking salmon I wound up with smoked fish instead of lox. This could have been alleviated using a longer "smoke pipe" between the pellet searing area and the actual smoker itself, along with some kind of inline air chilling mechanism.
I am impressed by your circuit, and may take this project on if I have the time.
