These guys must have calibrated eyeballs and fingers. The only "precision" tool they used was the original stamping die for the sheet metal. Aside from that, everything else was eyeballed and hammered and filed into shape.
On most of the AK's I fired and had, the mag chamber and bolt fit was so loose just about anything would work. The drum mags were total crap, never depend on one.
