The irony is that this actually isn't the case.
Sure, in the first world but its true that human labor is cheaper in many poor countries in this big planet where electric power, and efficient machines are expensive for locals without the financial resources we have here.

And the financial resources in those countries are also way too expensive to resort to for an ordinary citizen ...

Know why the Japanese still have quality manufacturing? It's because they stopped the Chinese from flooding the country with cheap junk.
