I would have thought they were spot welded and galvanized after the fact. It's pretty interesting how much goes in to a simple bucket.

I also find it odd that that country that builds some of the most sophisticated robots and manufacturing instruments has not found a way to automate something as trivial and crimping bucket seams together. Not that it is a bad thing... the people need jobs.

It's a culture that honors human skills that provide value. People gladly pay extra for a quality made product of value with the human touch.
