I am looking for Overload and short circuit protection for below circuit.
Any thought is highly appreciated.

1. Overload protection - if current >2A in this case buck regulator has to be switch off. After removal of overload regulator should not start automatically. It needed disconnection procedure of input voltage source to recover.

1. short circuit protection - if output is short circuited in this case buck regulator has to be switch off . After removal of overload regulator should not start automatically. It needed disconnection procedure of input voltage source to recover.

Most likely.

Can you put the shunt resistor in the load ground return?
It's easier to low-side sense current than high-side.
