I am a newbie. On one of my machines has a siemens Statotherm heater controller that has gone bad. Its function is to intermittently on and off a contactor that supplies power to a heater. There is a dial to control on off time or heat. There is no input feedback.
What type of controller is it called. Any alternative? I tried thyristor controller. But I will have to change wiring and bypass contactor.

Thank you sir. Its very old, 1090. Can't find anywhere on net. Obviously even siemens wouldn't have it, nor would be interested

You never know what kind of valuable info you might get.

There are also Commercial Repair Companies
advertising Repairs on this unit on the Internet.

Personally, I would gut the existing chassis and replace
everything inside with my own Circuit-Design and Components.
It's not likely to require a complex Circuit, and the parts are cheap.

I bought 2 replacement controllers. One thyristor based. other, bimetal. I think bimetal one will work with existing circuit with contactor.
